VI. FIELDS OF APPLICATION

The following list is to be understood as a framework which has to be elaborated individually for each organization. These fields of application change with economic and social dynamics. They are being adapted according to company and social needs.
 
Counselling of employees of all ranks about:
  • problems on the job
  • management problems
  • personal, family, social and psychological problems
  • drug abuse
  • in-house and outside assistance programmes
  • vocational reintegration after rehabilitation measures
  • financial problems (debts)
  • preparation for retirement

 
Information, educational work and instruction for example:

  • instruction of executives about related subjects
  • drug prevention
  • stress-coping seminars           

 

Organization-related measures for example:

  • establishing of in-house assistance structures
  • counselling of specific organizational units about related problems
  • support of organizational procedures (e.g. during the introduction of new technologies and the changing of structures) with special regard to social aspects
  • cooperation within company committees regarding social and health procedures on the job
  • initiation and implementation of measures concerning health prevention
  • participation in organizational development (e.g. development of team work including aspects of cooperation, communication and working atmosphere)
  • moderation of in-house work groups

 
Public relations work

  • internal public relations (e.g. presentation of the tasks and the work of occupational social work)
  • external public relations work and image maintenance for the organization/authority (e.g. cooperation with outside facilities, field-related publications, speeches, media work, open house)
